I owe a depth of gratitude to each person that joined us yesterday for our first podcast episode. I think a good time was had by all. There was some good activity in the live chat room. I was able to address some questions (on the spot, even!) and I was able to fill the whole time slot with what I think is the foundation for solid tiny house dialogue. If you weren’t able to listen in, please feel free to listen by clicking on the embedded player below.
We’ll be joined on our next episode by a special guest who is going to talk about trailers and what all those acronyms mean and how you should analyze what will be a trailer option for your tiny house. If time permits we’ll then cover a few exciting projects that are building even more unconventionally than tiny houses already are by starting with a gooseneck trailer, a car hauler, and even a U-Haul truck.
Lastly, we encourage you to submit your questions to us for the next show. We’ll try and answer them all. If interest continues we are hoping to add a Tuesday show that will be built entirely around Q&A from Facebook, Twitter, email, and the blog.
Thank you again and please feel free to submit any topics you would like to hear about or questions you may have about tiny houses through the form below.

Great show, I just got a chance to listen and I like what your doing. I will try to listen on time next week.
Clothesline Tiny Homes
I keep looking for and have yet to find a tiny house that has a really solid built Collapsible/Fold Down for transport Vaulted Ceiling.
The Other thing I would love to see is a high quality Slide out wall system as well as a fold out deck that when traveling folds up against the outside long wall.
I understand that moving joints present challenges for leaks and electrical/plumbing etc… and that said, making the best use of the loft space for us tall folks is important. Having a higher ceiling space just maces a space feel sooo much better!
ALSO: Do you know of any people/groups that are advancing the R&D side of tiny houses through detailed research of design for tiny/portable spaces? I ask because I have an industrial design background and I would love to be involved with detailed research of the material science and energy flow as well as passive heat/cool systems for tiny homes. Back in the Bay there is a company called TechShop that gives it’s patron a DIY work-space and tools including CNC router tables and laser cutters etc…. I would LOVE to find a place like that dedicated to the design and improvement of building these Tiny Houses at an extremely high level of build quality and actual load testing.
Thank you for leaving a comment Tav. I know so little about collapsible housing. I am not even completely sure what arena that would fall in; temporary housing, camping houses, etc.
As for the slide out or the fold out deck…I have seen a tiny house or two with a fold out deck but it comes at the expense of a few inches of interior space.
I will keep those things in mind though for sure!
On the main page it still says Tuesday for the podcast.
