Thank you so much for stopping by Tiny r(E)volution. My name is Andrew Odom and I’ll be your guide today. In addition to leading tours I am also a social media marketer, a writer, a photographer, a teacher, a husband, and a father.
I started blogging in 2004 before there were even plug-n-play blogging platforms to use. I built my own archaic blog theme and hard coded all of the posts. It was tedious but rewarding. I did it to share my adventures as I traveled the country as a YWAM missionary on The Wave USA tour. Blogging allowed me to get in touch with my creative side as well as hone my writing skills and photography skills. I became a serial documentarian. Since that time I have changed blogs twice creating www.anotherkindofdrew.com in 2006 and then www.tinyrevolution.us in late 2009. Along the way I also founded Blog Savannah and served as a blogger for a number of groups and teams.
About Tiny r(E)volution
Tiny r(E)volution is an Internet home for people interested in simple, minimalist living, and less square feet than most master bedrooms. It primarily focuses on tiny house trailers such as our own but also explores a number of alternative housing arrangements and the issues and products surrounding them. I typically post twice a week on topics like downsizing, raising minimalist children, How-To construction, and events in the tiny house community. We also serve as the home for the r(E)vo Convo podcast hosted by Laura LaVoie and myself.
I write from our experiences with going tiny and offer tips, tricks, tools, opinions, and suggestions with each post. When we began our tiny house adventure in late 2009 there was little on the Internet to help us. And what there was seemingly came with a pricetag. We immediately wanted to begin creating a transparent, free, resource for others just like us. None of my posts are “gospel posts” and I do not claim to speak as THE authority on tiny house living. It is more important to present options and opportunities rather than instruct others on what to do or think.
In order to stay connected with us I encourage you to subscribe to our posts. You will receive an email each time we publish a new article. You can do that here. We will not sell or otherwise give away your email information. I also personally promise not to SPAM you. You will only receive emails directly relating to a new Tiny r(E)volution post. If you want to contact us or just say hello you can send a short email to: andodom(at)gmail(d0t)com. Please do understand that we receive a number of emails so it may be as much as 48 hours before we respond. I WILL respond though.
On The Web
Because we believe so much in the Tiny r(E)volution community and the collective ideas and thoughts we are represented on a number of platforms including Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and YouTube. We encourage you to join us there as well.
I’m a member of select affiliate programs which are displayed as sidebar ads. Essentially that means I receive a small commission when you purchase a good or service through Tiny r(E)volution. You are under no obligation to purchase services or products from this site. It is important to note though that we only endorse products that we use or have personally encountered as well as companies we believe in. The commissions I receive help – in part – to keep this site running.
This blog is UN-copyrighted. Its authors, Andrew and Crystal Odom, have released all claims on copyright and has put all the content of this blog into the public domain. No permission is needed to copy, distribute, or modify the content of this site. Credit is appreciated but not required.
In other words we don’t own the Internet or your blog. We can’t stop you from reposting anything. And we don’t want to actually. We post because we enjoy it and – more than anything – we hope you do too!
