Radiant BarrierEcoFoil® is a leading supplier of radiant barrier and foil bubble insulation for your home, pole barn or commercial building. EcoFoil products are manufactured in the USA and Canada exclusively. They have an extremely knowledgeable sales team who are also experienced installers and their customer service is top notch!

You may remember that back in April EcoFoil joined Tiny r(E)volution as a sponsor for our tiny house build. They supplied us with:

We found the products to be TOP NOTCH and have been advocates of radiant barrier ever since. Heck, we even did a video on how-to install your own radiant barrier!
To be honest we are so jazzed about how our relationship with EcoFoil has been (they even featured us on their company website!) that we are partnering with them again to offer a FREE roll of Double Bubble Foil Insulation. In fact, we are giving away 500 ft. of it which is plenty for a tiny house trailer or a small house, in general.
To win all you have to do is comment below on why you think radiant barrier and EcoFoil specifically looks like a quality product and/or why you would like to win! That’s it. No LIKEing, no hashtagging. Just an honest-to-goodness look at the product and a thought towards how you could use it should you win.
All comments will be assigned a number and on Monday, October 1, at noon one number will be randomly drawn via random.org and announced on Facebook and an update on this blog post! Good luck!
UPDATE

Congratulations to Mark Lowe. Mark is the winner of our contest as decided by random.org. Mark, please email me at andodom at gmail dot com for further instructions!

We put all the majority of the windows in our tiny house on one side. so that we can have solar gain when the house is poistioned properly. I would love to have the bubble wrap to use for the roof and the windowless wall to help avoid any more heat gain through the wall. Check out our build over at http://www.charlestontinyhouse.com

I reviewed the ecofoil product lines when you first posted about using it back in April. I am really impressed by the product and have several projects in mind, including insulating my propane water heater with the non-flammable material. Also, I love the application examples and instructions on their website…good stuff!

  • April Ridgeway

We are starting our build on a 33′ trailer bed next year and this would be a superior product for our insulation. I especially like the non-flammable nature of the product!

  • tlsheri

Sure could use this Double Bubble Insulation in my tiny house. I am having some of my materials delivered today but haven’t purchased the insulation yet. Trying to decide how much and what kind but I really like the Double Bubble Insulation.

  • Ryan Mitchell

I am about to start building my tiny house here in a month. Here in the south, being able to keep your house cool is a tall order, this would go a long way to minimizing usage of my air conditioner which will account for most of my power usage.

I’ve had radiant barrier foil in my attic for over 8 years. We immediately noticed the difference and continue to benefit from it today. I could sure use some for the garage!

  • PrarieSchoonerProject

I am designing and building my own tiny house and looking for ways to make it more sustainable. EcoFoil would be one way to get everything I want out of the house while keeping the heat in.

I just came across your blog and read about Ecofoil a couple of weeks ago. After checking out their products on there website and watching your installation video, I was thoroughly impressed. We are just beginning to build our 26ft tiny house for our family of 3 and plan to order some Double Bubble Foil Insulation in the near future. It would be great to win it.

I remember reading the original posts and it looks like a great product, luckily enough the prize is big enough to cover both my tiny house build as well as my teardrop trailer. A double bubble solution to a double bubble problem.

  • Benjamin Comeau

What an awesome product! I have a 20×20 shop. I’ve turned half into a “man cave”. This product would be perfect to help insulate it. I hope I win! (hope, hope, hope, hope…)

I’ve been looking around at various types of insulation to plan for with my tiny house design, and this stuff looks great! It looks more solid than some insulations (so it’d be more like wearing a wind breaker than a sweater) and has a built in vapor barrier with reflective properties! Who wouldn’t want to win?

  • Stephen Bontekoe

In the Southern Heat it is important to have great insulation. With R-15.2 (Heat Flow Down), R-8.5 (Horizontal Heat Flow) Double bubble will boost my R value in the walls of the tiny timber house and reflect that hot Summer Sun. Add to that that the product will not support nasty growth, important in the humidity here. It is a win win situation.

  • Karavaniere

I’d like to win to make my tiny house dream even closer to reality! :)

  • Joe3

I’d love to have EcoFoil for my tiny house project .. Y’all can do another installation video if you want…I’ve used this product before, it’s great !

This ecofoil would be really interesting to use in my tinyhouseonwheels to be. I live in Sweden and there can be rather cold here in winter. I believe that this can be a really good product here over.

I have medical issue that have taken me from smart to what the heck…. They have also taken me from 3000 sq foot home to happy in a camper (no really). Winter in the Northwoods is not very camper friendly. I plan to build a tiny home on wheels this spring. Double bubble foil insulation looks like the perfect stay warm naturally solution to my new home :)

Oh I would so love to win the foil insulation. I have a cottage that I need to finish, so that I can move back to my home town. The foil insulation would allow me (I think :) ) to enlarge the allotted floor space by shortening the walls on the second floor, and insulate the floor joists. These products look like they are just what I need to finish off my dream :)

    Count me in.

  • John

This stuff looks like a great addition to my cabin!

  • Joel

We will be starting construction on our tiny house next year. We would love to use the EcoFoil Double Bubble insulation in our walls and roof to act as a vapor barrier and to keep the house cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

  • Crystal

I would like to win because it would start me on my journey of building a tiny house.

  • Kevin Harrington

Energy will never be cheaper than it is now, scary thought
after paying last month’s BIG bill for only 250 sq ft… this product deserves some
serious consideration. As a matter of fact, I’m considering making it my 7th
    must have here at CHP.

  • John

Would like to try this product for a “workshop” next summer.

  • Emily

I love that EcoFoil products are energy-efficient, fire-retardant, and vapor-resistant. We’re in the process of retrofitting an RV trailer to live and work in, and we have to replace the insulation, due to surprise water damage. It would be wonderful to use EcoFoil products in the trailer.

  • http://www.facebook.com/jansprout Janet L Beckham

Have used bubbled radiant foil insulation in a camper rebuild with great results, would love to use it in my tiny cabin build at 3600′ elevation in the Okanogan Highlands

  • John

That looks like it would be perfect for my bus conversion. I’ve been worrying about how to best insulate it, without losing too much headroom. I’m 6’1″, and the highest point (as it was configured stock) is 6’2″. This would solve that problem, and keep me warm in the winter. Fingers crossed!

  • Sherri

Would love to use Double Bubble Foil Insulation in the ceilings of our park model to bring the summer ceiling temperature down from 98 degrees. Arizona summers can get pretty hot.

  • mark lowe

Just in the initial planning stages of our tiny house build so this wonderful product would be greatly appreciated..

  • http://twitter.com/Journeygirl65 Jen Price

I’m in the planning stages of my tiny house & this would help me out a lot as I’m trying to build the best tiny house I can & spend the least I can. I’m going to semi retire in my tiny house & live a more sustainable life!

  • Dawn

I just purchased a new 18 ft flat deck trailer to start my little house on wheels. This sounds like an excellent product to use. It’s home will be on the North Coast of Canada so extreme moisture will be an issue and this sounds like the right product.Winning would surely help me on my way to attaining a quality structure and be a great test your double bubble foil insulation. Thanks

  • Vicki

Would love to use this product in my tiny, cheap house design.
