Tiny r(E)volution makes it BIG on the news

Perhaps two weeks ago or so (May 26, to be exact) we had a wonderful article come out about us in the Macon Telegraph. You can read that full article here. As fate would have it Fox 5 news out of Atlanta caught wind of our story and emailed us asking if they could arrange a time to come do a short news feature on the house and our idea to build it. We of course agreed and on May 30 a reporting team came out and shot footage. We appeared on the Live at Five news, the 6 o’clock, and the following day at daybreak. It was very cool. Unfortunately, a number of people said they were unable to watch and were hoping we would have a copy to share with them. Below is the news clip (the short version and the longer version) as they appeared on television.

So cool! So glad that you guys are taking the time out to do the news stories, etc. It helps make the rest of us still in the dream stage of living in a Tiny House not sound crazy LOL

I loved your description “gourmet” kitchen and I’m so glad that you pointed that out to the audience. This is a voluntary simplicity but not without a few of life’s indulgences. You aren’t impoverished, quite the opposite, you are free to enjoy the luxuries you choose. Kudos to you and your family.

  Thank you so much Dass. You are absolutely right. My wife is a wonderful cook. It is a hobby and a passion for her so we are paying a lot of attention and a lot of budget into that area. We are having custom base cabinets built. We are using repurposed butcher block countertops. We are installing a gas stovetop (3-burner) and will have a Miele commercial toasting oven. Not to mention our little coffee center which (as I am often joked on because of) my beloved frothing machine. HAHAHAHAHAH.
